This present application relates to, among other things, Key Caching, QoS and Multicast extensions and improvements to the Media-independent Pre-Authentication (MPA) framework, a new handover optimization mechanism that has a potential to address issues on existing mobility management protocols and mobility optimization mechanisms. MPA is a mobile assisted, secure handover optimization scheme that works over any link-layer and with any mobility management protocol.
La présente invention se rapporte - entre autres choses - à une mise en antémémoire de clé, une QoS (qualité de service) et des Multicast Extensions (extensions de propagation de routeur de multidiffusion), ainsi qu'à des améliorations apportées à un cadre de travail MPA (authentification préalable indépendante du support), un nouveau mécanisme d'optimisation de transfert intercellulaire qui est doté de la capacité de s'attaquer à des problèmes liés à des protocoles de gestion de mobilité existants et à des mécanismes d'optimisation de la mobilité. Le cadre de travail MPA est un schéma d'optimisation de transfert intercellulaire, sûr, et associé à la mobilité, qui fonctionne sur n'importe quelle couche de liaison et avec n'importe quel protocole de gestion de la mobilité.
