ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A two-position key switch of modular construction including an electrical contact module, a lock module, and a halo module, with the lock module being mounted in the halo module to provide a subassembly which is fixed to the electrical contact module. First and second cam members respectively associated with the electrical contact module and the lock module translate rotary motion of a rotary core of the lock module to rectilinear motion of an actua- tor element of the electrical contact module.
