An improved plasticized polyvinyl chloride interlayer for laminated safety glass, and an improved method of manufacturing a laminated safety glass including such plasticized polyvinyl chloride containing interlayer is disclosed. An improved functional silane adhesion promoter is utilized in such a manner so that impact energy dissipation is maximized while structural integrity is maintained. The plasticized polyvinyl chloride interlayer is formulated so as to provide improved long term heat stability at service use temperatures. The laminated glass preferably includes an outboard glass sheet formed of an IR and UV absorbing composition.
Cette invention concerne une couche intermédiaire de chlorure de polyvinyle plastifié destinée à un verre de sécurité feuilleté et un procédé amélioré de fabrication d'un verre de sécurité feuilleté comprenant cette couche intermédiaire contenant du chlorure de polyvinyle plastifié. On utilise un activateur d'adhésion au silane fonctionnel de manière à maximiser la dissipation de l'énergie des chocs tout en conservant l'intégrité structurelle. On formule la couche intermédiaire de chlorure de polyvinyle plastifié de manière à ce qu'elle possède une meilleure stabilité thermique de longue durée à des températures de service courantes. Ce verre feuilleté comprend de préférence une feuille de verre de panneau extérieur formée d'une composition absorbant l'infrarouge ou les ultraviolets.
