ABSTRACT A glass laminate is disclosed, preferably a lens having a thin, curved, glass core, an external surface of a thin, transparent, organic polymeric element, and a thin layer of thermoplastic adhesive therebetween. The laminate is characterized by its fracture resistant properties during lamination. A method of preparation of the laminate is also disclosed.
