A leg supporting assembly to maintain the foot of a patient in a neutral position to take measurements for the preparation of orthotic insoles or orthopedic shoes is described herein. The leg supporting assembly includes a leg positioning assembly and a foot positioning assembly. The foot positioning assembly is configured to be so adjusted as to position and to maintain the foot in a static position. This position ranges from pronation to supination. The foot may therefore advantageously be positioned in a neutral position where a perpendicular drop between the external malleolus and the side of the heel is perpendicular to the metatarsus.

L'invention porte sur un appareillage de support de la jambe servant à maintenir le pied d'un patient dans une position neutre pour prendre les mesures nécessaires à la fabrication de semelles ou de chaussures orthopédiques. L'appareillage inclut deux dispositifs de positionnement : un pour la jambe et un pour le pied. Le dispositif de positionnement du pied est conçu pour se régler de façon à placer et à maintenir le pied dans une position statique qui varie de la pronation à la supination. Le pied peut donc être avantageusement placé dans une position neutre dans laquelle une inclinaison perpendiculaire entre la malléole externe et le côté du talon est perpendiculaire au métatarse.
