LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE FOR CONCURRENTLY EMITTING RADIATIONS HAVING DIFFERENT WAVELENGTHS ABSTRACT A light-emitting diode including a substrate and a plurality of semiconductor layers superposed on the substrate, for emitting at a time a plurality of lights having respective different wavelengths and emitted through a light-emitting surface. The above-indicated plurality of semiconductor layers includes an active layer (18) for generating a first light, upon application of an electric current thereto, and at least one photoluminescent layer (14) each for generating a light having a longer wavelength than the first light, based on the first light generated by the active layer.
