ABSTRACT This invention relates to a liquid fuel combustion device which gasifies and burns liquid fuel, and particularly to a liquid fuel combustion device which gasifies liquid fuel by the heat of bomcustion produced by the device itself and continues combustion. In this type of liquid fuel combustion device, there is a phenomenon in which the rate of combustion decreases with decreasing oxygen concentration. Utilizing this phenomenon, the invention detects the difference between the combustion exhaust gas temperature and the room temperature exceeding a given value or falling below another given value so as to detect the oxygen-deficient state, thereby stopping the combustion or giving warning.
