ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION: A security system for ensuring that a platform is correctly loaded comprises a weight sensor sensitive to the laden weight of said platform when preliminarily check loaded with an authorised load, a memory for storing a value corresponding to said correct load, and a comparator connected to the weight sensor and to the memory and operative, when energised, to provide an alarm signal if the weight sensed upon energisation does not lie within a predetermined range of the authorised load.
