Low Forward Voltage Drop Diode Circuit Abstract It is often advantageous in electronics design to utilize a diode which has a lower than 0.7 V forward drop of the standard silicon diode. The invention described herein is capable of reducing the forward drop to less than 0.05 V, a reduction of more than tenfold the usual diode forward- voltage drop. The circuit maintains the standard reverse blocking capability of a silicon diode.
