The invention relates to a method for making an oscillation appear in an electricity distribution mains, enabling data to be transmitted. At least one capacitive load (CL) in series with a modulation means are connected between two wires (PH, NL) from the mains. The amplitude modulation means comprises at least one Zener diode (DZ1, DZ2) and at least one switching means (SW1). A short-duration closure pulse (Pi) is applied to the switching means, so that the latter is conducting and short-circuits the Zener diode, thus modulating the amplitude of the mains voltage. The duration of the closure pulse is chosen to be short enough for the amplitude modulation of the mains voltage to cause a response in the mains in the form of a high-frequency oscillation of the mains voltage.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour faire apparaître dans un réseau de distribution d'électricité une oscillation permettant de transmettre des données. Au moins une charge capacitive (CL) en série avec un moyen de modulation sont connectés entre deux fils (PH, NL) du réseau. Le moyen de modulation d'amplitude comprend au moins une diode Zener (DZ1, DZ2) et au moins un moyen interrupteur (SW1). Une impulsion de fermeture de courte durée (Pi) est appliquée au moyen interrupteur, de manière que celui-ci soit passant et court-circuite la diode Zener en modulant ainsi l'amplitude de la tension réseau.
