A method for producing a machinable feldspathic porcelain comprising leucite is presented. Machinability is imparted to feldspathic porcelains by achieving homogeneous distribution of fine crystalline constituent comprised of at least one of the following leucite phases: potassium tetragonal leucite, rubidium leucite, cesium stabilized cubic leucite, rubidium stabilized cubic leucite, and pollucite. The porcelains produced in accordance with the present invention are readily machinable by using available diamond tooling techniques. Furthermore, the porcelains are especially useful for the fabrication of dental restorations using CAD/CAM technology.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de porcelaines feldspathiques usinables renfermant de la leucite. Ces porcelaines feldspathiques sont usinables grâce à la répartition homogène d'une composante cristalline fine constituée d'au moins une des phases de leucite suivantes: leucite tétragonale de potassium, leucite de rubidium, leucite cubique de césium stabilisée, leucite cubique de rubidium stabilisée, et pollucite. Les porcelaines fabriquées selon la présente invention sont rapidement usinables si l'on utilise un outil diamant traditionnel. Ces porcelaines sont en outre particulièrement utiles à la fabrication de reconstitutions dentaires selon la technique CAO/FAO.
