A solid detergent composition useful for machine dishwashing is described. The product contains a first layer having a buffering system, a builder and an enzyme. The first layer dissolves to deliver a pH of about 9.0 to about 11 in the wash water. A second layer includes a peracid and an acidity agent in a continuous medium having a melting point in the range of from about 35°C to about 50°C. The material may be a paraffin wax, a natural wax, a polyvinyl ether, fatty acids and mixtures thereof. The second layer dissolves in wash water to deliver a pH of from about 6.5 to about 9. The release order of the functional ingredients allow for a optimum bleaching of stains as well as removal of soil.

La première couche se dissout pour donner à l'eau de lavage un pH d'environ 9,0 à 11. Une seconde couche comprend un peracide et un agent d'acidité dans un milieu continu ayant un point de fusion entre 35 et 50 degrés C environ. Le matériel peut être de la paraffine, une cire naturelle, un éther polyvinylique, des acides gras et leurs mélanges. La seconde couche se dissout dans l'eau de lavage pour en abaisser le pH entre 6,5 et 9 environ. L'ordre de libération des ingrédients fonctionnels permet un blanchiment optimal des taches de même que l'élimination de la saleté.
