ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A machine for manufacturing phials, ampoules and similar small hollow articles from thermoplastic substances has a ring-shaped frame on which is mounted a ball bearing turntable having a rotatable inner race. The rotatable race carries a support ring on which a number of segment-like carriers are mounted. A number of holders are mounted on the carriers. All carriers together form a cylinder. Two upper holders and two lower holders are mounted on each carrier. A sprocket is positioned in the vicinity of the central axis of the machine and drives a chain which in turn drives sprockets mounted on the carriers in order to rotate the holders about their own axes.
