A closure mechanism for a beverage preparation machine (201) comprising a fixed lower part (255) and an upper part (256) rotatable relative to the lower part, the upper part being moveable from an open position, in which the upper part is disengaged from the lower part, and a closed position, in which the upper part is engaged with the lower part, the closure mechanism further comprising a clamping lever (280) operable to retain the upper part in the closed position, wherein the clamping lever comprises a first member (281) being pivotably connected at a first pivot (283) to the upper part (256) and a second member (282) having a first end pivotable about a second pivot (285), an end of the first member (281) and a second end of the second member (282) being pivotably connected together at a third pivot (286) such that the clamping lever has first and second positions of stability, wherein on operation of the clamping lever to move the upper part from the open position to the closed position the clamping lever moves from the first to the second position of stability.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de fermeture pour une machine de préparation de boissons (201), comprenant une partie inférieure fixe (255) et une partie supérieure (256) rotative par rapport à la partie inférieure, la partie supérieure étant mobile entre une position ouverte, dans laquelle elle est désolidarisée de la partie inférieure, et une position fermée, dans laquelle elle est solidaire de la partie inférieure. Ledit mécanisme de fermeture comprend également un mécanisme de serrage (280) conçu pour maintenir la partie supérieure en position fermée. Ledit mécanisme comprend un premier élément (281) relié pivotant par un premier pivot (283) à la partie supérieure (256) et un second élément (282) possédant une première extrémité pivotant autour d'un second pivot (285), une extrémité du premier élément (281) et une seconde extrémité du second élément (282) étant reliées pivotantes entre elles par un troisième pivot (286), de sorte que le mécanisme de serrage possèdent des première et seconde positions de stabilité. Ainsi, lors de son actionnement pour faire passer la partie supérieure de la position ouverte à la position fermée, ledit mécanisme passe de la première position de stabilité à la seconde.
