ABSTRACT An automotive body side moulding, also know as auto door guard or auto panel trim, whose sole method of attachment to metallic surfaces is by means of magnetic adhesion. This invention is an advance in the art in that it is designed as an alternative to permanently attached auto body side moulding in that it is to be used when necessary, such as parking lots, car ferries etc. and be easily removed when not needed to return the car or truck to it's original factory configurations. The invention can be moved up or down on the doors and panels as the situation demands to maximize effectiveness. It is comprised of an impact absorbing element permanently bonded to a magnetically active element to affix the invention to metallic surfaces such as car and truck doors and panels.
