A self-centering or alignment system for catheter or other medical treatment devices. The system includes magnets (120, 130) on interacting elongate devices (100-1, 116-1) to separate and align the elongate devices (100-1, 116- 1) for use. The interactive elongate devices can include a guide catheter (116- 1) and treatment catheter (100-1) or a treatment catheter and guide wire. The system of the present invention facilitates insertion and placement of medical devices at a treatment site and provides enhanced maneuverability and insertability for treatment devices.
L'invention concerne un système d'autocentrage ou d'alignement pour un cathéter ou d'autres dispositifs de traitement médicaux. Ce système comprend des aimants (120, 130) interagissant sur des dispositifs allongés (100-1, 116-1) afin de séparer et de d'aligner lesdits dispositifs (100-1, 116-1) pour les utiliser.
