The present invention relates to maize plants with a genome comprising a unique allele profiie associated with the corresponding QTLs contributing to the expression of a variety of phenotypic traits of economic interest selected from the group of grain yield, grain moisture at harvest, early and late root lodging, stalk lodging, common smut incidence, fusarium ear rot incidence, sulcotrione resistance, and tassei architecture. The invention further relates to method for obtaining such a plant as well as assays and screening methods for identifying plants with the desired profile.

La présente invention porte sur des plants de maïs ayant un génome comprenant un profil d'allèle unique associé aux QTL correspondants contribuant à l'expression d'une variété de caractères phénotypiques d'intérêt économique choisis dans le groupe constitué par le rendement de production des grains, de l'humidité des grains à la récolte, la verse racinaire précoce et tardive, la verse de la tige, la sensibilité au charbon commun, la sensibilité à la fusariose de l'épi, la résistance à la sulcotrione et l'architecture de la panicule. L'invention porte également sur un procédé d'obtention d'un tel plant ainsi que sur des essais et des méthodes de criblage pour identifier des plants ayant le profil désiré.
