Disclosed are methods for the formation of a rubber/filler/curative/plasticizer compacted masterbatch which may be performed in two ways. In one embodiment, a rubber and a filler are intimately mixed for a time and under shear conditions sufficient to form a free flowing associated composition, then the composition is mixed with a plasticizer and a curative to form the compacted masterbatch. Alternatively, the starting material may be an already-formed free flowing associated composition of rubber, filler and optional curative, which is mixed with a plasticizer and optional curative to form the compacted masterbatch.
L'invention concerne des procédés destinés à la formation d'un mélange maître compact comprenant du caoutchouc, une charge, un agent de traitement et un plastifiant, pouvant être mis en oeuvre de deux manières différentes. Dans un mode de réalisation, le procédé consiste à mélanger sensiblement un caoutchouc et une charge pendant un laps de temps et dans des conditions de cisaillement suffisants pour former un mélange qui s'écoule librement, puis à mélanger le mélange obtenu avec un plastifiant et un agent de traitement pour former le mélange maître compact. Le produit de départ peut être un mélange déjà formé qui s'écoule librement, contenant un caoutchouc, une charge et éventuellement un agent de traitement, mélangé par la suite avec un plastifiant et éventuellement un agent de traitement pour former le mélange maître compact.
