The present invention is directed to a metabolite of a xanthine Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor having the following structure derivatives, and formulations thereof, and processes for preparing the same. Further disclosed are methods of treating a physiological disorder, symptom or disease in a patient, comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of the above compound, wherein the physiological disorder, symptom or disease is a urogenital, cardiovascular, cerebrovascular or peripheral vascular disorder, angina pectoris, hypertension, restenosis post angioplasty, endarterectomy, stent introduction, cerebral stroke, a respiratory tract disorder such as an allergic condition associated with atopy, pulmonary hypertension, an ischemic heart disorder, impaired glucose tolerance, diabetes and its related complication, insulin resistance syndrome, hyperglycemia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, a glomerular disorder, renal insufficiency, nephritis, a tubular interstitial disorder, an autoimmune disorder, glaucoma, intestinal motility, cachexia or cancer.
Cette invention se rapporte à un métabolite d'un inhibiteur de xanthine phosphodiestérase de type 5 représenté par la structure (I), à des dérivés et à des formulations de ce métabolite, ainsi qu'à des procédés pour sa préparation. Cette invention concerne également des procédés pour traiter des troubles physiologiques, des symptômes ou des maladies chez un patient consistant à administrer à ce patient une quantité efficace de ce composé, ces troubles physiologiques, symptômes ou maladies pouvant être un trouble urogénital, cardio-vasculaire, cérébrovasculaire ou vasculaire périphérique, l'angine de poitrine, l'hypertension, une resténose post-angioplastie, une endartériectomie, l'introduction d'un extenseur artériel, une attaque cérébrale, un trouble des voies respiratoires telles qu'une allergie associée à une atopie, une hypertension pulmonaire, un trouble cardiaque ischémique, une intolérance au glucose, le diabète et les complications qui lui sont associées, un syndrome d'insulino résistance, l'hyperglycémie, un syndrome ovarien polycystique, un trouble glomérulaire, une insuffisance rénale, une néphrite, un trouble interstitiel tubulaire, une maladie auto-immune, un glaucome, un trouble de la mobilité intestinale, une cachéxie ou un cancer.
