The invention relates to a method and apparatus for bending and tempering or heat-strengthening a bidirectionally curved glass panel. A heated glass panel is curved in a main bending direction parallel to the advancing direction and in a sagging direction transversely to the advancing direction. Curving in the sagging direction is performed by bending conveyor rolls (4), the bending of which is effected by turning lever elements (7) bearing-mounted for free rotation on the ends of the conveyor rolls. Between the outer ends of the lever elements (7) is a push rod (8), whose length is quickly variable by means of an actuator (9).

L'invention porte sur un procédé et sur un appareil permettant de courber et tremper ou tremper thermiquement un panneau de verre à courbure bidirectionnelle. Un panneau de verre chauffé est courbé dans un sens de courbure principal parallèle au sens d'avance et dans un sens de fléchissement transversalement par rapport au sens d'avance. On effectue la courbure dans le sens de fléchissement en courbant les rouleaux (4) du convoyeur dont la courbure est effectuée en tournant des éléments de levier (7) montés sur support de façon à tourner librement sur les extrémités des rouleaux.
