ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a method and apparatus of forming a material to an accurate predetermined shape. The material is passed as a single layer without heating along a predetermined path and pressure with incremental shaping is applied to the material at discrete locations along the path. The pressure applied is such that it plasticizes and causes lateral movement or spreading of the material into material shape forming regions positioned at the discrete locations working the material from a substantially uniform thickness to regions of different thicknesses in the single layer according to the shape desired.
