A method of modifying a surface of a glass product. The method comprises conveying particles (105), with a diameter of less than 1 micrometre, to the surface of the glass (101 ), a material contained in the particles being at least partly dissolved and diffused in the glass. The method comprises a step of heating the surface of the glass, whereby the dynamic viscosity of the glass changes as a function of the depth in the glass, being lowest at the surface. An apparatus for modifying a surface of a hot glass product comprises means (108) for flame spraying. Glass products wherein the content of an element which provides the glass with a functionality decreases steplessly upon proceeding from the surface of the glass deeper into the glass.
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à modifier la surface d'un produit en verre. Le procédé consiste à transporter des particules (105) présentant un diamètre inférieur à 1 micromètre à la surface du verre (101), un matériau contenu des les particules étant au moins partiellement dissous et diffusé dans le verre. Le procédé comprend une étape consistant à chauffer la surface du verre, grâce à quoi la viscosité dynamique du verre se modifie en fonction du degré de profondeur dans le verre, pour atteindre son niveau le plus bas à la surface du verre. L'invention concerne également un appareil destiné à modifier la surface d'un produit en verre chaud, comprenant des moyens (108) de projection à la flamme. L'invention concerne en outre des produits en verre dans lesquels la teneur en un élément qui attribue une fonctionnalité au verre diminue de manière continue lors de la procédure, depuis la surface du verre jusqu'à la profondeur du verre.
