A B S T R A C T A method and related apparatus for processing hatchery waste is disclosed. Hatchery waste is subjected to the simultaneous steps of mixing, comminuting, and heating at a temperature from about the boiling point of water to about the decomposition temperature of the hatchery waste for a length of time sufficient to form a dry powder. The dry powder is useful as a feed ingredient fox animals, especially poultry and fish.
