A method for transmitting channel quality information (CQI) from a receiver station to a transmitter station in a wireless communication system which includes diversity mode consisted of spaced apart subcarriers and band AMC mode consisted of a number of bands comprised of a predetermined number of adjacent subcarriers. The method comprises the steps of transmitting an average CINR(Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio) value for a full frequency band if the receiver station operates in the diversity mode; transmitting a differential CINR of a predetermined number of bins if the receiver station operates in the band AMC mode.
L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission, d'une station réceptrice à une station émettrice, de données concernant la qualité d'une voie de transmission (CQI) dans un système de transmission sans fil. Ce procédé comprend un mode de diversité utilisant des sous-porteuses espacées, et un mode AMC multibande utilisant un certain nombre de bandes comprenant un nombre prédéterminé de sous-porteuses adjacentes. Le procédé comporte les étapes consistant à : transmettre une valeur moyenne de rapport porteuse/brouillage et porteuse/bruit (CINR) pour une bande de fréquence complète si la station réceptrice fonctionne en mode diversité ; transmettre une autre valeur CINR d'un nombre prédéterminé de segments si la station réceptrice fonctionne en mode AMC multibande.
