This invention concerns a method of dispersing hydrophobic particles in aqueous suspensions comprising adding to the suspension an effective amount of an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide block copolymer, wherein the copolymer has a molecular weight of from about 1,000 to about 50,000 and a HLB of from about 1 to about 4 and compositions comprising the ethylene oxide-propylene oxide block copolymer.
