The invention concerns a method for making at least one glass yarn, which consists in drawing N glass filaments from N orifices emerging from the lower surface of a common die, the N orifices being divided into at least two groups. The invention is characterised in that it consists in setting up a permanent separation between the two filament layers derived from each of said groups. The invention also concerns a device for implementing said method. The invention is useful for making continuous glass yarns for reinforcing organic and/or inorganic materials.

L'invention est relative à un procédé de fabrication d'au moins un fil de verre, dans lequel on étire N filaments de verre à partir de N orifices débouchant de la face inférieure d'une même filière, les N orifices étant répartis en au moins deux groupes. Selon l'invention, on établit une séparation permanente entre les nappes de filaments issues de chacun desdits groupes. Elle concerne également un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé. Application à la fabrication de fils de verre continus destinés au renforcement de matières organiques et/ou inorganiques.
