27989-2 ABSTRACT There is disclosed a method and device for putting jelly on a pastry or the like. Ready-mixed jelly is put in a container and kept there, at a temperature under about 60 °C; that from there, as much jelly as is needed for the intended purpose is led to a place where it is heated to a temperature at which it jellifies, and when that temperature is reached, the jelly is put on the pastry. The device described for realizing the method consists of a unit, containing a hermetically sealable container for the ready-mixed jelly, which is provided with an opening for building up the pressure in the container and with an outlet through which a pipe is stuck which discharges into the jelly, and also containing a container for the warm water with an inlet opening which on the outside is connected with the outlet of the container, and which on the inside is connected via a heat- conductive tube of relatively great length, with an outlet and an instrument, cooperating with that outlet, which puts the jelly on the pastry.
