The invention relates to a positioning method for determining the position and orientation of a mobile unit having a receiver (3'), whereby the receiver (3') is detected by a scanner (2'), said scanner (2') determining at least the distance and a direction in relation to the receiver (3'). The radiation emitted by the sensor is detected by the receiver (3') and the direction of incidence of radiation and the direction of incidence of radiation in relation to an axis of reception are derived while an offset of the incident radiation in relation to the axis of reception (EA) is determined. Position and orientation of the unit are derived from at least the distance, the direction in relation to the receiver (3'), the offset and the direction of incidence as the position information and the unit is optionally controlled via the optical connection (OV).

L'invention concerne un procédé de localisation permettant de déterminer la position et l'orientation d'une unité mobile pourvue d'un récepteur (3'), procédé selon lequel ce récepteur (3') est détecté par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de balayage (2'), cette unité de balayage (2') déterminant au moins l'éloignement du récepteur (3') et une direction vers ce dernier. Le rayonnement émis par ladite unité de balayage est détecté par le récepteur (3') et la direction d'incidence du rayonnement par rapport à un axe du récepteur est déduite, un décalage du rayonnement incident par rapport à l'axe (EA) du récepteur étant déterminé. La position et l'orientation de l'unité sont déduites au moins de l'éloignement du récepteur (3'), de la distance vers ce dernier, du décalage et de la direction d'incidence, en tant qu'informations de localisation, et cette unité est commandée éventuellement par l'intermédiaire de la liaison optique (OV).
