In a telecommunications system, data having a higher sensitivity and data having a lower sensitivity are identified within a data set. The data having a higher sensitivity is encrypted to produce encrypted sensitive data. Thereafter, the data having a lower sensitivity and the encrypted sensitive data are encrypted to produce an encrypted data set. The encrypted data set is then transferred from a sending unit to a receiving unit. Decryption information may be appended to the encrypted sensitive data before the data having a lower sensitivity and the encrypted sensitive data are encrypted to produce an encrypted data set. The decryption information may include an algorithm identifier, a key identifier, and receiver response instructions. At the receiving unit, the data set is decrypted to recover the data having lower sensitivity. A second decryption of the encrypted sensitive information recovers the data having a higher sensitivity. Appended decryption information may be used to locate and decrypt the encrypted sensitive information.
Dans un système de télécommunications, les données sont repérées dans un fichier de données selon leur niveau de confidentialité. Les données à niveau de confidentialité plus élevé sont cryptées. Elles constituent alors des données sensibles cryptées. Ensuite, données plus confidentielles et données moins confidentielles sont codées de façon à constituer un fichier de données cryptées. Ce fichier de données cryptées est alors transféré d'une unité émettrice à une unité réceptrice. Des informations de décryptage peuvent être attachées aux données confidentielles cryptées avant que l'ensemble des données - données à faible niveau de confidentialité et données cryptées à niveau de confidentialité plus élevé - ne soit à son tour crypté pour donner le fichier de données cryptées. L'information de décryptage peut comporter un identificateur d'algorithme, un identificateur de code et des instructions pour réponse à réception. Au niveau de l'unité réceptrice, on procède à un premier décryptage du fichier de données qui rétablit les données à faible niveau de confidentialité. Suit un second décryptage qui permet de recouvrer les données à niveau de sensibilité plus élevé. Les informations de déchiffrement attachées peuvent servir à localiser et à déchiffrer les informations confidentielles codées.
