ABSTRACT of the DISCLOSURE A method for attenuating automobile audio equipment activated by audible emergency vehicle alarm. The device comprises an externally mounted fore and aft sensor and switch electrically connected to the audio amplifier circuitry. The device disables the audio amplifier within the vehicle when a passing or approaching emergency vehicle's siren or audible alarm signal activates the sensor. -1-
