The invention relates to a method for controlling a pressure fluid operated percussion device comprising a working chamber (3) for pressure fluid and in the working chamber (3) a transmission piston (4) installed movably with respect thereto so as to enable a tool (5) installed in the percussion device to be pressed against a material to be broken in order to generate a stress pulse, and to a percussion device. The method comprises adjusting the length of the stress pulse by adjusting the time during which pressure influences the transmission piston (4). The percussion device comprises an adjustment element (14) and adjustment means for adjusting the influence time of the pressure of the pressure fluid being fed via a control valve (8) and influencing the transmission piston (4).
L~invention concerne un procédé de commande d~un dispositif à percussion à fluide sous pression, comprenant une chambre de travail (3) contenant un fluide sous pression et un piston de transmission (4) installé de façon mobile dans la chambre de travail (3) pour permettre à un outil (5) installé dans le dispositif à percussion de comprimer un matériau à briser afin de générer une impulsion de contrainte. L~invention concerne également un dispositif à percussion. Le procédé comprend l~étape consistant à régler la longueur de l~impulsion de contrainte en réglant la durée pendant laquelle la pression est appliquée sur le piston de transmission (4). Le dispositif à percussion comprend un élément de réglage (14) et un moyen de réglage servant à régler la durée d~application de la pression du fluide sous pression amené par une valve régulatrice (8) et appliqué sur le piston de transmission (4).
