ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The method for fabricating an acoustic wave attenuating material comprises the following stages: - the preparation of an aqueous solution of a monomer and of a comonomer used as an agent of reticulation, to which a product that starts the reaction may be possibly added; - the dispersal, in the solution, of a powder formed by porous grains of reticulate polymers that swell up in the presence of water; - the reticulation of the mixture. The disclosed method can be applied notably to the making of acoustic baffles submerged in water.
