The invention relates to a method for the fabrication of dimensionally accurate metal pieces by sintering a pulverous material blend consisting of an iron-group metal, a copper-phosphorous compound and a copper alloy. The piece is produced by layer-by-layer selected area laser sintering. The sintering takes place in an atmosphere containing a gaseous compound of an iron-group metal, whereby said compound decomposes at the sintering temperature and the iron-group metal deposits into said pulverous blend during the sintering.

Procédé de fabrication de pièces métalliques de dimensions précises par frittage d'un mélange de matières pulvérulentes constitué d'un métal du groupe du fer, d'un composé de cuivre-phosphore et d'un alliage de cuivre. La pièce est produite par frittage au laser couche par couche dans des zones sélectionnées. Le frittage s'effectue dans une atmosphère renfermant un composé gazeux d'un métal du groupe du fer, de sorte que ce composé se décompose à la température de frittage et que le métal du groupe du fer se dépose dans ledit mélange pulvérulent au cours du frittage.
