Abstract of the Disclosure An array of porous oxide-filled tantalum pads that are sintered to a tantalum foil, and each pad is processed into a solid electrolyte capacitor. The streets separating the pads are flooded with an insula- tive resin and the resin is cured. Slots are gouged in the rosin in the alternate of the columnar streets. A U-shaped nickel channel is welded to the substrate in the slots, and the substrate is severed central to the channel to produce discrete flip-chip style capacitors.
