A method of forming a spinner (10) for centrifuging fibers (46) from molten material (32, 34) is provided. A dispersion strengthened metal (52) is warm worked, preferably by spin forming, at a temperature above the minimum warm working temperature and below the recrystallization temperature of the metal (52). A spinner (10) is formed having an annular peripheral wall (12) and a plurality of ribs (40) formed integrally with the peripheral wall (12) and extending radially inwardly therefrom. The spinner (10) is heat treated to recrystallize the metal (52) to a coarse grain structure. A plurality of fiber- forming orifices (44) are formed through the peripheral wall (12).
L'invention décrit un procédé de fabrication d'une centrifugeuse (10) pour le centrifugeage de fibres (46) à partir d'une matière fondue (32, 34). Un métal renforcé par dispersion (52) est travaillé à chaud, de préférence par tournoiement, à une température au dessus du minimum thermique de travail à chaud et en-dessous de la température de recristallisation du métal (52). La centrifugeuse (10) se compose d'une paroi annulaire périphérique (12) et d'une série de nervures (40) solidaires de la paroi périphérique (12) et se prolongeant latéralement à partir de ladite paroi vers l'intérieur. On traite thermiquement la centrifugeuse (10) pour une recristallisation du métal (52) pour qu'il reprenne une structure de grain grossier. Une série d'orifices de formation de fibres (44) est formée à travers la paroi périphérique (12).
