A method of manufacturing a photonic crystal fiber comprising a core part extending longitudinally through the center of the fiber and formed solid or hollow and a porous clad part having a large number of fine holes provided so as to surround the core part and extending along the core part, comprising the steps of filling a large number of capillaries in a tubular support pipe parallel with the center axis of the support pipe, disposing a core rod forming the solid core part at the center axis part of the support pipe so as to manufacture a preform, and further reducing the diameter of the preform by drawing.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une fibre en cristal photonique comprenant une partie de coeur s'étendant longitudinalement au centre de la fibre et de forme pleine ou creuse, ainsi qu'une partie de gaine poreuse ayant un grand nombre de petits trous ménagés de manière à entourer la partie de coeur et s'étendant le long de celle-ci, comprenant les étapes consistant à remplir un grand nombre de capillaires dans un tube de support tubulaire parallèle à l'axe central du tube de support, à disposer une tige d'âme formant la partie de coeur pleine au niveau de la partie d'axe central du tube de support, de manière à produire une préforme, et ensuite à réduire le diamètre de la préforme par étirage.
