The invention relates to a method and a device for extending the furnace campaign by avoiding cracks in the stones and the chipping of parts of the stones, and reducing joints in melting furnaces. Said aim is achieved by a measurement of the forces/pressures/moments of the furnace stones occurring against each other, or of the furnace stones against the bracing and defi-ned necessary counter forces, such that the forces between the stones, or between the bracings and the stones are below the maxi-mum permissible compression (pressure force) of the stones, and the forces required for avoiding joints between the stones are en-sured. Said process occurs automatically as a form of control by determining the force of sensors, analysis of processors and data, and activation of actuators for generating counter forces.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'allonger la campagne d'un four grâce à une protection contre l'apparition de fissures dans les pierres, un écaillage de parties des pierres et une réduction des joints dans les fours de fusion. A cette fin, les forces/pressions/couples des pierres du four les unes par rapport aux autres ou par rapport à l'élément d'ancrage et des forces antagonistes nécessaires définies sont mesurés de manière que les forces entre les pierres ou entre les éléments d'ancrage et les pierres soient inférieures à la compression maximale admissible des pierres et que les forces nécessaires pour éviter des joints entre les pierres soient respectées. Ce processus intervient sous forme de régulation automatisée qui consiste à déterminer des forces au moyen de capteurs, à évaluer les données au moyen d'un processeur et à commander les actionneurs afin de produire les forces antagonistes.
