Method for coating an optical fibre with optical fibre Bragg grating (FBG) with a hermetic coating, particularly a coating of carbon, to avoid ingress of gases, vapours or fluids in the ambient environment. This can be water or hydrogen, which can diffuse into the fibre glass and cause deviation/drift in the measured Bragg measurements. Bragg grating that maintain the grating strength at temperatures in excess of 1000 ~C is used, which is heated to above 1000 ~C in a chamber with a reactive gas that produces deposition of carbon.

Procédé pour former sur une fibre optique avec un réseau de Bragg de fibres optiques (FBG) un revêtement hermétique et notamment un revêtement en carbone pour empêcher les émissions de gaz, de vapeurs ou de fluides dans l'environnement ambiant. On peut utiliser l'eau ou l'hydrogène, qui peuvent se diffuser à l'intérieur du verre des fibres et provoquer la déviation / la dérive des mesures de Bragg effectuées. On utilise un réseau de Bragg qui garde une résistance de réseau à des températures dépassant 1000 ·C; on le fait chauffer à plus de 1000 ·C dans une chambre avec un gaz réactif qui provoque le dépôt de carbone.
