ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A slurry of valve metal particles is dispensed into a valve metal can. The can is spun and simultaneously heated, thereby forming a compacted coating of the valve metal particles adhered to the inner wall of the can. These steps may be repeated as often as desired to build the thickness of the coating. The coated can is subsequently sinter fired at from 1600°C to 2100°C.
