This invention relates to a method for producing calcium nitrate granules. A calcium nitrate melt is sprayed into a re-circulating bed of a first fluidised bed granulator, wherein the re-circulating bed is supplied with air that has been conditioned and heated to a temperature of between 60 ~C and 100 ~C. Calcium nitrate granules formed in the granulator are introduced to a primary cooler in the form of a second fluidised bed where the granules are cooled to from 50 ~C to 60 ~C by conditioned air. The granules are sorted in a sorter and then cooled in a secondary cooler to a temperature of less than 40 ~C, before being bagged. The granules so produced are hard and dry and do not break down easily during handling.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour fabriquer des granules de nitrate de calcium. Du nitrate de calcium fondu est vaporisé dans un lit recirculant d'un premier broyeur à lit fluidisé, ce lit recirculant étant alimenté en air conditionné et chauffé à une température de 60 ·C à 100 ·C. Les granules de nitrate de calcium façonnées par le broyeur sont introduites dans un refroidisseur primaire sous la forme d'un deuxième lit fluidisé où les granules sont refroidies à 50·-60 ·C par air conditionné. Ces granules sont ensuite triées dans une trieuse, puis refroidies dans un refroidisseur secondaire à une température inférieure à 40 ·C, avant d'être mises en sac. Dures et sèches, les granules ainsi fabriquées ne se désintègrent pas facilement pendant leur manutention.
