An apparatus (30) comprises a unitary construction which includes both a coating chamber (32) adapted to receive a person to be coated with a predetermined substance which is preferably provided in the form of a liquid that is received in a reservoir (60). The coating chamber (32) is further provided with a plurality of spray columns (36) which are supported for pivotal movement through predetermined arcs under the action of a pneumatic cylinder (38). Each spray column (36) includes an inner tubular passageway (84) which receives liquid from the reservoir (60) under the action of compressed air supplied by the air compressor (62) through a tank (64), and an outer tubular passageway (86) which receives compressed air from the manifold (68). Each spray column (36) is provided with a plurality of nozzles (88). Each nozzle (88) receives compressed air from the outer tubular passageway (86) through a quick disconnect (90), and receives liquid from the inner tubular passageway (84) through a quick disconnect (92). A check valve (94) prevents reverse flow of liquid back through the quick disconnect (92).
L'invention concerne un appareil (30) constitué d'une construction autonome contenant une enceinte d'enduction (32) conçue afin de recevoir une personne devant être enduite d'une substance prédéterminée, mise en oeuvre de préférence sous forme liquide, stockée dans un réservoir (60). L'enceinte d'enduction (32) est dotée de plusieurs colonnes de pulvérisation (36) installées de manière à pouvoir pivoter selon des arcs prédéterminés sous l'action d'un vérin pneumatique (38). Chaque colonne de pulvérisation (38) comprend un passage tubulaire interne (84) recevant du liquide chassé du réservoir (60) au moyen d'air comprimé délivré par un compresseur d'air (62) via un réservoir (64), et un passage tubulaire externe (86) qui reçoit l'air comprimé provenant du distributeur (68). Chaque colonne de pulvérisation (36) contient aussi plusieurs buses (88). Chaque buse (88) reçoit de l'air comprimé arrivant par le passage tubulaire externe (86) à travers un raccord rapide (90), et reçoit du liquide arrivant par le passage tubulaire interne (84) à travers un raccord rapide (92). Un clapet anti-retour (94) empêche le retour de liquide via le raccord rapide (92).
