ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved method whereby various flocs obtained in the refining of sugar may be removed is described. In this method, at least one cationic polyelectrolyte, optionally together with an anionic acrylamide copolymer, is added to a sugar liquor. In addition to giving more easily removed flocs, these materials also act to remove colored substances from the sugar liquors. Case 85-02
