ABSTRACT When mixing or kneading edible flour with water and other components, a method of mixing or kneading edible flour compirses the steps of freezing water or water or milk containing dissolved or mixed other components or a water-containing component and then rendering the resultant into granules for mixing. According to the present invention, in the preparation of bread, noodles, cakes and other foods, water can be readily uniformly mixed by mixing granular ice with the wheat flour and other flours. Further, eggs, butter, milk and water-containing paste-like materials such as pumpkins, carrots, potatoes, spinach and ground fish meat can be vary readily mixed by freezing them and then rendering the resultant into granules before mixing.
