An object of the present invention is to provide a method of more efficiently producing an electrode active material whose main component is a transition metal phosphate compound. According to the present invention, a method of producing an electrode active material is provided in which the main component thereof is a phosphate compound represented by the general formula: AxM(PO4) y (here, 0 <= x <= 2, 0 < y <= 2, A is an alkali metal, and M is a transition metal). This method comprises preparing a composition in the melted state that contains a source of M and a source of phosphorus (and also a source of A when 0 < x). This method is suitable as a method of producing an electrode active material whose main component is, for example, an olivine-type lithium iron phosphate compound.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production plus efficace d'un matériau actif d'électrode dont le composant principal est un composé de phosphate d'un métal de transition. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de production d'un matériau actif d'électrode dont le composant principal est un composé de phosphate représenté par la formule générale: AxM(PO4) y (dans laquelle 0 = x = 2, 0 < y = 2, A est un métal alcali, et M est un métal de transition). Ledit procédé consiste à préparer une composition à l'état fondu contenant une source de M et une source de phosphore (et également une source de A lorsque 0 < x). Ledit procédé est adapté pour produire un matériau actif d'électrode dont le composant principal est, par exemple, un composé de phosphate de fer-lithium de type olivine.
