A method of diminishing the odor of urine; and an article functioning to diminish the odor of urine. The method comprises using a substance which reacts with aldehydes to thereby diminish the urine odor. The article, which functions to diminish the odor of urine, has a substance which reacts with aldehydes. An example of the article is one for body fluid absorption. Examples of the substance which reacts with aldehydes include organic amines, organic amine salts, substances which react with excretions to yield an organic amine, amide compounds, and compounds having a mercapto group.
L'invention concerne un procédé atténuant l'odeur d'urine et un article permettant d'atténuer cette odeur. Le procédé consiste à utiliser une substance qui réagit avec les aldéhydes et qui atténue ainsi l'odeur d'urine. L'article correspondant, qui permet d'atténuer cette odeur, renferme ladite substance. A titre d'exemple, l'article peut être un article absorbant les liquides corporels. La substance, par exemple, peut être sélectionnée dans un groupe constitué par: amines organiques, sels d'amines organiques, substances réagissant avec les excrétions pour donner une amine organique, composés à base d'amide et composés possédant un groupe mercato.
