A method of making a coated article including a transparent conductive oxide (TCO) film supported by a glass substrate is provided. The coated article including the TCO film on the glass substrate is thermally tempered in a tempering furnace with an inorganic protective film (e.g., of or including silicon nitride) being provided on the glass substrate over the TCO film during tempering in order to prevent or reduce oxidizing of the TCO during the tempering process. Since oxidizing of the TCO film during the tempering process is prevented or reduced, the TCO film is able to maintain its electrically conductivity, even after tempering.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réalisation d'un article revêtu comportant un film d'oxyde conducteur transparent porté par un substrat en verre. Cet article revêtu pourvu dudit film sur le substrat en verre est trempé thermiquement dans un four à tremper, un film protecteur inorganique (par ex., de nitrure de silicium ou contenant ledit nitrure) se trouvant sur le substrat en verre au-dessus du film d'oxyde conducteur transparent durant la trempe en vue d'empêcher ou de diminuer l'oxydation de l'oxyde conducteur transparent, au cours du processus de trempe. Comme l'oxydation du film d'oxyde conducteur transparent, au cours du processus de trempage, est prévenue ou diminuée, le film d'oxyde conducteur transparent est capable de garder sa conductivité électrique, même après la trempe.
