A method of making a coated article including a transparent conductive oxide (TCO) film supported by a glass substrate is provided. In certain example embodiments, the coated article including the TCO film on the glass substrate is thermally tempered in a tempering furnace. In certain example embodiments, during tempering flame(s) are provided proximate the exposed surface of the TCO in order to burn off excess oxygen near the TCO surface thereby preventing or reducing oxidation of the TCO during the tempering process. A coated article, that is thermally tempered, made by such a product is also provided.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un objet revêtu comprenant une pellicule d'oxyde conducteur transparent (TCO) supporté par un substrat de verre. Dans certains modes de réalisation d'exemple, l'objet revêtu comprenant la pellicule de TCO sur le substrat de verre est revenu thermiquement dans un four de revenu. Dans certains modes de réalisation d'exemple, que la (les) flamme(s) pendant est (sont) approchées de la surface exposée du TCO pendant le revenu afin de brûler l'oxygène excédentaire près de la surface du TCO, ce qui permet d'éviter ou de réduire l'oxydation du TCO pendant le processus de revenu.
