Methods are provided for predicting properties based on stress wave velocity measurements, such as modulus of elasticity (MOE) and/or warp potential of trees and/or logs from a timber-based raw material group ("TBRMG"). The methods provide a formula allowing compensation for growth rate differences between stands. Accordingly, the present invention prevents underestimation or overestimation of MOE and/or warp potential.
Des méthodes sont proposées en vue de prédire les propriétés en fonction de mesures de vitesse d'ondes d'effort, tels le module d'élasticité et/ou le voilement possible des arbres et/ou des billots au sein d'un groupe de matières premières à base de bois. Les méthodes prévoient une formule qui prend en compte les différences de taux de croissance entre les peuplements forestiers. Ainsi, la présente invention empêche la sous-estimation ou la surestimation du module d'élasticité et/ou du voilement possible.
