The invention provides a reagentless assay kit for analyte in a sample comprising a modular affinity assembly including at least one sensor unit comprising a ligand having binding affinity for the analyte (affinity module) operatively associated with a reporter probe (reporter module) responsive to changes in the sensor unit induced by analyte/receptor complex formation by transduction of a characteristic detectable signal. Assays employing the modular assembly are also provided.

L'invention concerne un nécessaire à essai sans réactif pour analyte, réalisé dans un échantillon qui renferme un ensemble modulaire à affinité. Cet ensemble a au moins un capteur constitué d'un ligand ayant une affinité de liaison pour l'analyte (module d'affinité), en association fonctionnelle avec une sonde reporteur (module reporteur) réagissant aux variations du capteur qui résultent de la constitution d'un complexe analyte/récepteur sous la forme d'une transduction de signal caractéristique détectable. L'invention concerne également des essais effectués au moyen de l'ensemble modulaire.
