The invention provides an improved formwork assembly for erecting a concrete or other similar material wall. The assembly includes a plurality of elements to form varying thicknesses and varying heights of wall with or without rigid insulation. Each element is interconnecable to its counterpart to form two parallel rows of formwork into which the concrete or other similar material is poured. The connecting elements have holes in their length to facilitate the flow of the concrete or other similar substance and for the placing of reinforcing rod for initial strength and stability. The assembly also provides for the construction of corners so that walls can be joined at a 90 degree angle on both sides of the parallel rows of elements as well as a means of replacing damaged wall elements after construction.
